Exhaust for the Ford Ranger
Cat-back and axle-back exhaust systems, mufflers, and tips that free up flow and give your Ranger's engine a deeper, more aggressive tone.
0 parts
Exhaust work on a Ranger is bought for two different reasons that rarely overlap: sound, and replacing a system that has finally rusted through. Both are legitimate, but they lead to different parts — and on the modern turbocharged trucks the honest expectation for a bolt-on exhaust is a change in tone, not a transformation in output.
Cat-back systems replace everything behind the catalytic converter and are the usual starting point. Axle-back systems change only the rearmost section and are the smaller, quieter-to-install option. Whatever you buy, leave the catalytic converter alone: removing or defeating emissions equipment on a road-registered truck is illegal in most jurisdictions and will fail inspection.

What fits which Ranger
North America got the compact Ranger from 1983 through 2011, went without one for the 2012–2018 model years, then received the midsize P375 Ranger for 2019–2023 and the redesigned next-generation truck from 2024. Parts almost never cross those boundaries.
- 1983–2011 (classic compact)
- Long production run with several engine families; exhaust routing follows engine and cab-and-bed configuration, so match to your specific truck rather than the model name.
- 2019–2023 (P375)
- Single turbocharged engine offering across the range, which makes system selection relatively simple compared with the classic trucks.
- 2024–2026 (next generation)
- Different platform and different exhaust routing. Do not carry a 2019–2023 system across.

What to look for in Ranger exhaust
- Decide sound first: cat-back for a full change in character, axle-back for a milder change and an easier install.
- On a turbocharged Ranger, expect a deeper tone rather than a dramatic power change from a bolt-on system alone.
- Check the tip exit and clearance against a tow hitch, bumper or tonneau setup before ordering.
- Stainless resists the corrosion that kills exhausts in road-salt regions; aluminised is the more economical alternative.
- Rusted OEM sections and discontinued classic-Ranger pipework are eBay Motors territory more often than new-parts territory.
